TOBB ETÜ Economics students came together on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room to share their Cooperative Education experiences. Open to all students, the event provided an opportunity for students to share their experiences in Cooperative Education programs, which offered them the chance to work and network in leading companies across various fields, from the defense industry to tourism and hospitality, from the automotive industry to auditing and consulting sectors. By doing so, they contributed to helping their peers make confident steps in planning their future careers.
During their presentations, students shared the experiences they gained in various companies and the value these experiences added to their personal and professional growth. They also provided general information about the firms' work areas, missions, visions, campuses, physical facilities, and work environments. Students who completed their Cooperative Education programs through the Erasmus+ program also shared insights about their experiences and answered questions about the processes. The event, which continued with questions from participants, supported students in shaping their career paths with firsthand insights.
Students’ Cooperative Education Experiences and Information About the Firms
BME Budapest: The Budapest University of Technology and Economics is renowned for its international connections, innovative projects, and academic studies. The student who gained experience there highlighted the advantages of interdisciplinary approaches and multicultural work environments.
TürkTraktör: As Turkey's leading manufacturer of tractors and agricultural equipment, TürkTraktör contributes to the agricultural sector with its extensive product range and innovative solutions. The student who gained experience in the marketing and supplier development departments stated that they improved their decision-making, interdepartmental communication, and coordination skills. Additionally, the student shared their achievement of winning the internship project competition at TürkTraktör with their project, “Automation of the License Reading Process.”
TOBB ETÜ SPM (Center for Social Policy Research): A research center focusing on social policy and social sciences, SPM offers solutions to societal issues through in-depth studies. The student who worked here improved their data analysis skills while conducting research on social policies.
TOBB Brussels: TOBB Brussels provides analysis and reports on European Union policies, helping Turkish companies make their voices heard in Europe. The students who gained experience here acquired valuable insights into the functioning of international trade and diplomacy.
Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO): As one of Turkey's largest chambers of commerce, ATO conducts various projects and events to boost the Turkish economy. The student who worked here gained knowledge about trade policies and the roles played in developing the local economy.
IKV Brussels: Representing Turkish interests in Europe, IKV carries out significant studies in international trade and policy development. The students who gained experience here enhanced their awareness of current political and economic developments in Europe.
