M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu Announced the Opening of TOBB ETÜ Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department in May!

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TOBB ETÜ, gave the glad tidings of the opening of TOBB ETÜ Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering  in 2019-2020 Academic Year., in his speech at the 75th TOBB General Assembly held on 2 May 2019.

In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the agenda in the world of Industry 4.0 is digitalization, machines talking to each other, artificial intelligence and biotechnology. Adding that Turkey has to leap forward in terms of technology he said TOBB ETÜ's Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department was established to contribute to this breakthrough.

Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that technological developments transforming the traditional industry had also changed the profile of globally successful initiatives and noted that the student who will graduate from TOBB ETÜ Artificial Intelligence Engineering department would pave the way of Turkish ventures as future technology leaders.

Giving the priority to technology, research and entrepreneurship, TOBB ETÜ had become a university that adding value to our country in many fields from defense industry to high technology in a short time and it would also raise the first professionals in the field with Artificial Intelligence Engineering department.
