About Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department

All students studying at TOBB ETÜ Artificial Intelligence Engineering department will take basic mathematics, computer programming, data structures, algorithms and database systems courses with Computer Engineering students and operations research courses with Industrial Engineering students. Students receiving the most qualified education of our age in the fields of classical artificial intelligence, artificial learning, data mining and deep learning will be able to shape their education according to their career goals by choosing one of the two specialization areas (artificial intelligence and finance) offered by the department at the end of 5th semester.

Finance Area: This area is designed for students who are interested in financial markets where artificial intelligence technologies are used more effectively in decision making processes. Students will be able to  advance in topics such as microeconomics, finance theory, econometrics, financial engineering, asset pricing, risk management and before graduation, will be expected to produce solutions to the most important problems in the financial markets with the most modern artificial intelligence techniques.

Artificial Intelligence Field: This field is designed for students who are interested in the applications of artificial intelligence technologies outside the financial field. Students will be able to  proceed in areas such as natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, image processing and intelligent systems, and will be expected to produce solutions to current engineering problems with the most modern artificial intelligence techniques before graduation.

Interdisciplinary Competence

With an ambitious curriculum enriched with courses in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Finance, TOBB ETÜ Artificial Intelligence Engineering is designed to provide interdisciplinary competence to its students.

Cooperative Education Program

First and only cooperative education program in Turkey administered by the TOBB ETÜ is compulsory for the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering as in all departments. Prior to graduation, students find employment opportunities in contracted institutions and companies for 3 semesters , and begin their careers one step ahead with a year of work experience.

An important part of our graduates have the opportunity to work in the institutions they work during their Cooperative Education Periods.

Our students who will graduate as Turkey's first Artificial Intelligence Engineers, will have an advantageous position during their cooperative education period and will be preferred by many institutions and companies as the first experienced professionals in the field.
